Father's Day 2012

Happy Father's Day!  Opah was in town for the weekend. Doug played golf with friends on Saturday and tested out his new club (his Father's day gift).   All the adults and Charlie went out to dinner on Saturday to celebrate.  Sunday we went to church and Doug enjoyed hours of the US Open.  Later we had dinner at our house with Opah, Aunt Erin and Charlie.

Summer Vacation Begins

First day of summer vacation and guess who broke his wrist?  Not like you really have to guess...I'm sure you can tell who this it.  Break/injury #4.  Will is our accident prone kid.  The one who climbs things, falls and ends up with breaks, fractures and dislocations.  Last injury was last spring so he made it a year.  Plus baseball is over and we won't be swimming until the weather warms up, so, in a way he timed it pretty well.  Four weeks in the cast and it's his right wrist (thankfully he's left handed).  Hope your summer vacations are off to a better start than his!

Last Day of School!

Today the 2011-2012 school year draws to a close.  Another school year over!  Another summer to fill with fun!  Today the boys also find out who their teachers are for next year and next week they begin day camp put on by Whitefish Parks and Rec.  Annemarie will be attending "summer school" at her current preschool.  We have a trip planned for Portland the last week in June and then we'll be in Whitefish all summer.  I'm looking forward to the warm weather and longer days.

Baseball 2012

This year Will and Jack are on the same team.  Yay!  The season is wrapping up and it's been a good one.  Lots of nice weather and the boys are hitting off of a pitching machine this year.  It's really been a lot of fun to watch.

Will's First Communion

Here are some great pictures from the special day.  Will's First Communion was the same weekend Charlie arrived.  I don't have any pictures of Will with the bread or wine...yet.  I'm trying to track them down.
Coming into Church.  Will's second in line on the right.

He's Here!

Charles Everett McAuliffe was born Sunday, May 13th on Mother's Day.  He weighed 8 lbs 6 oz and is 22 inches long.  He is quite darling and his cousins are pretty thrilled with him.  Cousin Charlie looks similar to Will and Jack when they were brand new.  Congratulations Erin and TJ!

Erin's Baby Shower

I hosted Erin's baby shower on Saturday.  I cannot believe the baby will be here soon!  Guests arrived around 2p.  We had snacks and champagne to toast the mama-to-be.  Instead of the usual baby shower games we did a "How well do you know Erin?" game.  Lots of Erin trivia and secrets, it was very fun.  I handmade the flag banners and white tissue "poufs" which may have made it to the baby's room.
 Lots of gifts

My Birthday!

Phew!  No more birthdays until November.  There was general silliness for my birthday which I've decided to share.  Enjoy!

Annemarie Turns 4!

Our baby is four!  Technically she's not a baby or even a toddler.  As she likes to say she's a "big girl!"  Annemarie's birthday is exactly one week after Jack's so it falls on the same day of the week.  Aunt Erin joined us for dinner, presents and cupcakes.  Annemarie made quite the haul when it came to gifts.  She had a nice mixture of clothing and toys, both of which she loves.  Our little girl is still petite but what she lacks in size she definitely makes up for with her big personality.  Annemarie love talking, singing, dancing, playing and reading.  She is quite silly and funny.

This is the part where Erin starts saying "watch out for her hair"
And this is where Annemarie's hair caught on fire...thankfully Doug was quick and put it out before it could do any real damage.  I wish I had recorded it!
Happy Birthday Annemarie!

Easter 2012

Very early in the morning.  Looks like Jack is super excited.

Easter is usually pretty low-key in our house.  This year was no different.  We went to church in the morning with Erin and TJ.  Will and Doug skied during the day and then we had a delicious early dinner.  Erin set up her own egg hunt which the kids love because some of the eggs have money in them.  So fun!  Hope you had a nice Easter!

Jack Turns 7!

Another birthday!  This is the beginning of the April Birthday run.  Up first is Jack.  Seven!  How did we get here?  Jack was only two when we moved to Montana.  Hard to believe that he's lived most of his life in Whitefish.  Jack is in 1st grade this year and his teacher is Mrs. Morgan.  Jack is excelling in almost every subject in school.  He loves school work and it seems to come pretty easy for him.
Jack is kind, loving and so funny.  Here he is with his stack of gifts.  So excited to start opening them.
This picture is too funny because of Will in the background pouting.  Will already has a skateboard but there's something tough about watching someone else open gifts.
This is were the heckling began...
 Yes!  Star Wars!
 Thanks Aunt Corey!
 Happy Birthday Jack!
Make a wish!

Skiing for Jack's Birthday

Jack's Birthday was during Spring Break this year.  So the boys had the day off and we spent the day skiing.  Even I got in on the action.  The mountain wasn't too busy so we enjoyed lots of empty runs and the boys had fun in the trees and looking for jumps.
 Lunch time.

What a great day!
