Jack has become quite skilled with the baby gym. He's able to grab the animals and pull on them. Also, if positioned right he likes to kick the little guys as well. Of course the contraption is battery operated and at one time played songs and made animal noises. Of course I haven't replaced the dead batteries which has cause some confusion for Will (he loves turning the music on), but I think I may prefer the silent verison.
Today was exceptionally warm (95 degrees) and I wanted to share this picture perfect moment. Gus will always find the hottest spot and plant himself there. We have a small pond outside our front door and currently it gets the best sun and the rocks are nice and hot, therefore it's Gus' favorite spot.
The Helper Part IIWill is so sweet with Jack (aside from the occassional clumsy fall onto him or when he accidentally pokes him in the eye, of course). I feel blessed that so far Will is not upset or jealous about the attention Jack receives. Whenever Will hears Jack crying he always points and make the sign for baby. Will seems genuienly happy to see Jack when he wakes up in the morning and always likes to says "hi" to him when he's on the floor or in his carseat. They are off to a good start, I hope they will be good friends. Also, feel I should explain the hat Jack is wearing - his hair was sticking straight up that day and I was hoping the hat would help flatten it out a bit. Oh, the fun we have at our house!

Mommy's Helper
Will is at such a fun and challenging stage. He constantly is copying or trying to do things Doug and I do. For example he's trying to put on the Baby Bijorn (baby carrier) in these pictures. The best is when he laughs at things he thinks are funny (pulling Gus around by his tail, putting his finger in Doug's nose - to name a few). The best part is when he tries to pick up Jack which thankfully he cannot do. Currently Will outweighs Jack by a few pounds. We'll see how long that lasts!
Jack's HairThis is one of our daily topics - Jack has so much hair we don't know what to do with it. It's even longer now than in this photo. I don't think it's right to give him a full blown haircut quite yet, but it's so unruly and never looks quite right. Doug refers to it as the toupee and his hair has even been compare to Donald Trump's! Until it falls out (yeah right) or grows longer I guess we'll keep talking about it.
